Lent, Holy Week, and Easter

We begin the Season of Lent with Ash Wednesday Evening Worship on March 6th at 7:30pm.  The Ash Wednesday Service includes the Imposition of Ashes and the Lord's Supper.  We continue Lenten Evening Prayer on Wednesdays March 13th, 20th, and 27th, and April 3rd and 10th all at 7:30pm. 


Holy Week begins with the festival of Palm Sunday on Sunday, April 14th at 9:00am and includes the Procession of the Palms and the Lord's Supper.  Maundy Thursday Evening worship is on April 18th at 7:30pm.  The Maundy Thursday Evening Worship includes the Lord's Supper and the stripping of the Altar.  Good Friday Worship takes place on April 19th.  The Good Friday Tre Ore Service of prayer and meditation will begin at Noon.  Later on Good Friday at 7:30pm is our Tenebrae Service or Service of Darkness. 

We begin our Easter celebration with the Vigil of Easter on Saturday, April 20th at 7:30pm.  This worship service includes the Order of Baptismal Remembrance and the Lord's Supper.  The Easter Vigil lasts approximately one hour.

Our Easter celebrations continue on Easter Sunday, April 21st, with our Easter Sonrise Worship at 6:30am.  We begin our Easter Sonrise worship in the sanctuary in silence and (weather permitting) process out to the cemetery where we hear the Easter Gospel and return to the sanctuary singing hymns of Jesus' resurrection.  The Easter Sonrise Worship includes the Lord's Supper.

After the Easter Sonrise Worship our youth host the Annual Easter Breakfast with all the trimmings.  It's hard to leave hungry.

We continue our Easter celebrations with Easter Festival Worship at 9:00am.  Easter Festival Worship includes the Lord's Supper.
